Cameron is a relative newcomer to the sport, which he took up in 2005. He earned his first GB vest in 2007, and that same year won the Prince Albert Challenge Cup, the student coxed fours event, at Henley Royal Regatta, and was a BUSA gold medal winner in the Championship pairs event.

Cameron is in the final stages of his Medical Degree and will qualify as a doctor straight after the Olympics, when he hopes to pursue a career in surgery.

Helen started rowing as a complete novice in 2008 through the Sporting Giants scheme and was placed on the GB Rowing Team's 'Start' programme in Bath.

In 2009 she won gold in the senior single scull at Henley and the following year came 3rd in the Reading University women's eight at the Head of the River.

Helen ran as a junior in international cross-country and was part of the England Satellite Squad for Hockey. At university in Cardiff she studied Sport and Exercise Science and then did a PGCE in PE, working as a PE teacher in Bath for the first year of rowing.
