Escape for Shelley

Powerboat racer, Shelley Jory (1987-88; Johnson’s), is recovering at home in Southampton after losing control of her boat in a race in Valletta, Malta, on 13th June.

Shelley was travelling at 87mph (140km/h) during the final of the Malta Grand Prix of the Sea when her boat hit a large wave awkwardly.
