Mark has been in the tennis coaching business since leaving university. In 2002 he set up his own company (MDL Coaching) which started with one tennis club in the Surrey area but which now runs 8 tennis venues, including many schools, in the Purley, Croydon, Sanderstead and Cheam area, delivering tennis coaching programmes to children and adults during term time and in the holidays, using seven full time coaches. He himself coaches at Woldingham Girls School. He has recently set up, with a partner, a retail and future online outlet, My New Racket, based, like the coaching company, at Purley Bury LTC, selling top branded tennis attire and rackets to the members of the clubs where he teaches. Mark still keeps in touch with a number of Old Millfieldians, of whom one is to be best man at his wedding this year. He is still keen on all sports, with running and watching rugby, preferably the international variety at Twickenham, favourites.
