Robin has been working in Sports Marketing and Sponsorship for the last 10 years. He currently runs his own sponsorship consultancy, working with the number 1 professional cycling team in the world – Team Columbia-HTC which includes Mark Cavendish. He helped put together the HTC deal prior to this year’s Tour de France and is currently working on a major sponsorship deal for 2010. Previously, he was the Vice President of Octagon Worldwide’s Rights Representation division, working with clients such as Olympics, NFL, F1, A1GP, football, tennis, cricket, the Olympics, golf, rugby and practically all the other major global sports. The Athletes Division also worked with Michael Phelps, Paula Radcliffe, Jason Robinson, Darren Gough, Laura Robson, Elena Dementieva and many more. Before that he had his own business for 5 years and also worked for Sportbusiness, working with the IOC and other major sports properties. Before venturing into the business world he was joint-head of PE at a secondary school in Walton on Thames, at a time when he played football for Woking in the Conference. He lives in London with his wife Louise (née Brunning, ex-GB sprinter and hurdler) and their two young children.
