She was in the wine trade from 1983-2000 and established the New Zealand Wine Guild. In 2002 she organized the Great French Ride around French vineyards, raising £35000 for charity. In 2004 she established the Armadillo Café and Deli and now concentrates on establishing the Armadillo Coffee Company.

Recently graduated with a doctorate in management at the University of Western Australia, she has lived there for the past fifteen years. She is now in HR management with Rio Tinto’s Argyle diamond company.
