Adrian Bradshaw

Adrian was born in Cambridge in 1964 but is currently based in Beijing. He pursued an interest in Chinese philosophy and literature through a degree course at SOAS (School of Oriental and African Studies, University of London) and first lived in China in 1984. He has been based in Beijing for most of the intervening time with a 3 year period in Shanghai as well as many sorties around the region from Siberia to Sri Lanka. As a freelance photographer he has worked for a wide range of clients both corporate and editorial. One of his first assignments was to spend a week with Muhammad Ali and his entourage when they visited China in 1985 and since then he has covered subjects as diverse as the first bodybuilding competition in China to the electrification of remote rural locations. Since 2003 he has been regional chief of photography for EPA European Pressphoto Agency), a Frankfurt-based global news pictures agency.

Deeny started his career in the restaurant and night club Industry but sold out of all his establishments and moved to a tamer industry. First in the steel industry as an employee of an American mill in Northern California, he began in sales and worked his way up to Director of Sales and Marketing. He then moved to Southern California and started with a new distributor of steel as Vice-President of Sales and remained there for five years until he opened his own steel distribution company which was very successful. Five years later he decided to try his hand in the construction and real estate industry where he still is to this day, although he has recently set up a new steel distribution company called Farman Steel Inc.. He lives in southern California and has two wonderful children, a boy and a girl.

She moved to the West Country in the nineties, married Lars in 1991, and now owns and runs a Humanistic Psychotherapy and Complementary Health Centre in Taunton.
