Simon Appleton
1961-1966 High Ham
Now retired, he completed twenty nine years in the RAF Administrative Branch, six years in the NHS and a further six as school bursar. He still has his school running vest and competed as a runner to his fiftieth birthday. Married for thirty seven years, he now enjoys life as professional grandparent.
Ronald Barber
1961-1966 Walton
A Justice of the Peace for twenty years, he has also been chairman of youth and training committees in Northumberland. He did five years’ TA service in the seventies, has owned a few moderate racehorses, and his golf handicap is still too high.
Richard Caring
1962-1966 Millfield
Richard’s 500-acre Devon estate known as The Lakes has been given some very personal and distinctive additions, such as bronze deer statues and a gazebo designed for enjoying a glass of champagne whilst out shooting. Tweeds from The Lakes branded wardrobe can be worn by guests, whilst riding in black Land Rovers bearing The Lakes registration plates, who can also take their game home in branded plastic carrier bags – oven ready, of course!
Malcolm Henson
1964-1966 Day
He has lectured for twenty five years full- time and now part- time, at Staffordshire University, teaching Publishing Skills: he has also taught in China, Japan, the Ukraine and Germany. Managing Director of Henson Editorial Services, he is eternally grateful to “Boss”.
