Ethan produces for Tom

Top record producer Ethan Johns (Etonhurst; 1982-86) is making the music headlines for his part in Tom Jones' latest album, Praise And Blame, a  collection of gospel, traditional and spiritual songs which critics are already hailing as his finest work.

Chapelle du Roi

Alistair Dixon (Orchards 1975-79) and his early music ensemble Chapelle du Roi, were much in demand in Holy Week, appearing as a main feature on Sean Rafferty’s In Tune on Radio 3, then performing a candlelit programme of Tenebrae on the eve of Maundy Thursday with Lamentations, Improperia and Responds from composers including Thomas Tallis, Palestrina and Victoria.

Chapelle du Roi, formed by Alistair in 1994, comprises eight of London’s most exciting young singers and specialises in the performance of sacred music from the European late-medieval and Renaissance periods. In 2005 they completed their recording of the entire work of Thomas Tallis under the Signum label.
