OMS Latest:
JANUARY 2012: Josie In Motion
Since August 2011 Josie Boyce (1993-1998; Edgarley and 1998-2003; Warner) has been working on In Motion, a feature film she herself wrote and which she is now helping to produce with the production company she works for, Infinite Potential Films.
In Motion is a romantic drama set in London. Leon, a male British gymnast, meets Bao, a female Chinese gymnast, at a major sporting event and they fall in love despite their language barrier. The themes of the story are triumph in the face of adversity, success through sport and that love has no cultural boundaries.
This is Infinite Potential Films’ first feature and the company is looking to raise £50,000, half of the overall budget, through CrowdFunder, a UK based crowd-funding website, by which donations are used to fund creative projects, but, in this case, refunded, if the film company does not reach its target.
To encourage supporters, Infinite Potential Films is offering incentives such as DVDs, exclusive behind the scenes footage and two tickets to the premiere. In fact if the film is a success, Josie herself and Jules Brown, the producer, promise to come down to the school and give a talk on how it was done!
Josie would love to hear from any OMs who are interested in supporting this exciting venture.
