Derek Mann trophy - 15th august
The prize for the Middlesex Club Sevens victory was to go on and play at Twickenham in The Derek Mann Trophy against Marchwood Dolphins RFC. Marchwood are a well-respected Army side who play in some of the most prestigious sevens tournaments worldwide, many of their players representing the full Army side. However, we conceded an early try in the second half, which luckily went unconverted. Late in the game Marchwood scored a converted try in the corner to make the final score 12-12. I would like to thank all the boys for this magnificent effort and for the way that they handled themselves on and off the pitch.
