MILLFIELD OLD BOYS RUGBY FOOTBALL CLUB 2009

2010 will be the 25th year since the formation of Millfield Old Boys RFC. I cannot say that it seems like yesterday, as in 1985 I could masquerade as a cricketer or even venture onto a football pitch, but not today. Even standing watching a 7s tournament is tiring and makes one feel one’s age. So I am now very pleased to be able to delegate to younger parents who are keen to assist and to whom I am very grateful for their enthusiastic support in continuing to promote and develop the MOBRFC.
Hopefully in 2010, with increased funding and more Honorary Vice Presidents, the Club will be taking two 7s squads and The Legends to Amsterdam, and a 10s team to Stockholm, at reputedly the premier 10s tournament in Europe.
Many thanks also go to the School, Honorary Vice Presidents and the Old Millfieldian Society for their continued financial support; and I should express my appreciation for the loyalty and hard work of Messrs Speed and Davies, and Marion and Jan in the Millfield Society Office, for their support of our club.
